IPL Photofacial

What is IPL Photofacial?*

The IPL Photo Facial is a treatment for the skin using the photorejuvenation process and it represents a breakthrough in age-defying skin care. This technique treats skin damage in a non-invasive way and typically causes no disruption of the skin's epidermal surface.
Furthermore, the treatment doesn't require downtime.

Photofacial treatments are used to treat a variety of skin conditions including rosacea, redness, sun damage, pigmentation, age spots, fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scarring and other blemishes. Delivering gentle improvements, Photo Facial's pulsed light can give your skin a younger appearance. Your skin can appear naturally even-toned and healthy, without the artificial look of other cosmetics.

How does does the IPL Photo Facial work?*

IPL or intense pulsed light, delivers a specific amount of light output to treat various skin conditions. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates the sub-surface skin layers and is absorbed by the blood vessels or by pigmentation. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas works to stimulate your skin cells to promote new collagen, which in turn can fade age spots, improve fine lines and wrinkles, shrink large pores and lift tired-looking skin. The goal of this process is to restore your skin to its natural beauty, blending its natural colors, and making it smoother, vibrant and younger looking.

A series of microdermabrasions or chemical peels prior to the laser treatment can result in better stimulation of the collagen and elastin fibers. New collagen growth can continue for four to six months post treatment.
